Swage Nipples

Lomond Engineering has been stocking and manufacturing both concentric and eccentric swage nipples in Australia for 40 years, and is one of the core products the company was built on. Swage nipples are usually used in smaller diameter piping systems where a transition from welded to threaded connections is required, which is not possible with regular BW fittings. Swages may also be supplied with various combinations of plain, bevelled and threaded ends. There are two dimensional standards for Swages, MSS-SP-95 and BS3799 with the major difference being the length of the swage nipple in some smaller sizes. Lomond has extensive experience with this product range and welcome your enquiries.

We are also able to produce smooth transition eccentric swages where large reductions may cause vortexing and short life-spans due to the flow characteristics.

Swage Nipple Standards

  • ASTM A234-WPB
  • ASTM A105-N
  • ASTM A420-WPL6
